Academic background: Nurse-midwife from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2010), Master in Nursing from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2008), PhD in Public Health from the University of Illinois, United States (2015), diploma in bioethics (2008) and university teaching (2018), both from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Research activities and publications (last 5 years): Her line of research is Chronic Health Conditions. She has been awarded 5 research projects, 2 with national funding (1 as principal investigator), 2 with funding from the UC (principal investigator) and 1 with funding from the School of Nursing (co-investigator). She is the author of 7 scientific publications indexed in ISI/Scopus (4 as main author).

Undergraduate, graduate and continuing education teaching activities (last 5 years): She teaches undergraduate and coordinates courses in the area of adult health: “Nursing, profession and discipline”, “Community Nursing II”, ” Inpatient Nursing Internship” and “Outpatient Nursing Internship”. In graduate school, she coordinates the course “Independent Study” of the Master’s Degree in Nursing, she is a professor guide and thesis reviewer and participates in the faculty of the Master’s Degree in Nursing. She is a member of the Committee of Megister of the Magister of Public Health UC.

Extension and outreach activities (last 5 years): She has 3 presentations in scientific events, 2 of them international. Chilean Mentor for the International Research and Training Minority Program (MHIRT), University of Miami, School of Nursing, USA Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and University of Miami, School of Nursing and Health Studies (2017 to present).
