Nurse-midwife from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1980), Master in Social Communication from the Universidad Diego Portales (2003), diploma in Health Institutions Management from the University of Chile (1991) and in Natural Family Planning from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1997).

Research activities and publications (last 5 years):

  • Her line of research is health promotion in topics related to childbirth.
  • She has been awarded 2 research projects, one with international funding (co-investigator) and one with UC funding (co-investigator).
  • She is author of 5 publications, 4 scientific articles indexed in ISI/Scopus (2 main author), 1 indexed in other databases (co-author).

Undergraduate and graduate teaching activities (last 5 years):

  • She teaches undergraduate courses “Professional Seminar” and “Sexuality and Self-care”.
  • She coordinates and is part of the team of 3 innovation projects in teaching developed in the SoN and funded by the UC. In postgraduate thesis guide of the Master of Nursing and the Master of Public Health of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Extension and outreach activities (last 5 years):

  • She has 6 presentations in scientific events, 2 of them international.
  • Since 2011 she is Coordinator of the International Work Committee: Methodological aspects associated with the movement of Health Promoting Universities of the Ibero-American Network of Health Promoting Universities (RIUPS).
  • She coordinates a diploma course on Continuing Education for health professionals offered by the School of Medicine.

  • She was Director of the School of Nursing between 2010 and 2014, currently she is Coordinator of the Office of Nursing Education and member of the Academic Qualification Committee of the School of Nursing.
