Academic background:
Nurse with Academic Certificate in the Elderly from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2006) and Magister in Nursing UC from the School of Nursing (2016), diploma in evidence-based health at the same University (2009). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology at the Institute of Sociology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2018 to present).

Research activities and publications (last 5 years): Her line of research is Aging, Elderly Care and Evidence Based Nursing. She has been awarded 3 research projects, one with national funding as co-investigator and two with UC funding (as principal investigator). She is the author of 11 publications, 6 are scientific articles indexed in ISI/Scopus (2 as main author), 2 book chapters (as co-author), three publications of the Public Policy Center at the UC (1 as main author) and one collaboration for The Cochrane Library (as co-author).

Undergraduate, graduate and continuing education teaching activities (last 5 years): She teaches undergraduate courses and coordinates courses in the area of nursing care of inpatient adults: " Inpatient Nursing Internship", "Nursing, Profession and Discipline", "Nursing in the Vital Cycle" and "Health of the Elderly". She is part of the team of innovation projects in teaching developed in the School of Nursing and funded by the UC. She coordinates and teaches in the Nursing of the Elderly specialty program. In postgraduate teaching, she participates in the course "Advanced Nursing Practice based on Evidence" of the Master's Degree in Nursing, she is a thesis guide and reviewer. She participates in the Master's thesis evaluation commissions of the School of Nursing. In Continuing Education she is in charge of the Diploma "Nursing in the adult and hospitalized elderly", also, she teaches in the course "Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice" of the School of Nursing.

Extension and outreach activities (last 5 years): She has 2 presentations in a national scientific event and 1 presentation in a congress of the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology.
