Academic background:
Nurse Midwife at EEUC (1987) and Master in Public Health, mention in Epidemiology, at the University of Chile (2012). She has completed four diploma courses in topics related to health care quality.

Research activities and publications (last 5 years):

  • Her line of research is the Promotion of Women’s Health.
  • In the period she has been awarded a research project funded by the School of Nursing as principal investigator and published 3 scientific articles in ISI/Scopus (one as main author), 3 in Scielo (2 main author) and 2 with other indexations (1 first author).

Undergraduate and graduate teaching activities (last 5 years):

  • She stands out for her participation and coordination of the teaching of the Professional Nurse-Matron Section in both Outpatient and Inpatient Internships, which she has coordinated on multiple occasions.
  • She also participates in the course “Nursing Care in the Vital Cycle” and in in-depth courses “Nursing Care in Situations of Affective Loss” and “Self-care of Health” as coordinator from the year 2020.
  • In Continuing Education, she is the academic coordinator of the “Diploma in Prevention and Control of Infections Associated with Health Care on-line”, and designed the course Quality and Health Care Safety of the Diploma for nursing technicians.
  • She has been awarded 3 teaching innovation projects related to nursing care during childbirth.

Extension and outreach activities (last 5 years):

  • She has 10 oral presentations in scientific events, 6 of them international.
  • She is a member of the Chilean College of Nurses and the scientific society Global Alliance for Nursing and Midwifery.

Management activities:

  • From 2014 to date, she is the head of the Department of Women’s Health.
